IN CASE YOU MISSED IT… THE PRO SHOP REMODELING IS COMPLETE! Thanks to a powerhouse team of talent and elbow grease, our Pro Shop has a fresh new look—and we can’t wait for you to see it! Kelly Brown (daughter of Dave & Dolly White) flew in and worked her merchandising magic for three full days. With a background in golf course management and a shelf full of awards, Kelly brought style, strategy, and sparkle to every corner. And let’s not forget Dolly—her merchandising experience shines through in every detail! A huge shout-out to Lisa Onyx, Jason Hunt, Barb Wallace, and Cassie Bartholomew for rolling up their sleeves and moving displays and tables with grace and grit. The Turf crew deserves a standing ovation for relocating the coffee bar, cooler, and lottery machine, and hauling away old tables and miscellaneous clutter. Talk about a clean sweep! We invite you to stop by, browse the new offerings, sip a coffee, and—who knows—maybe try your luck with the lottery!  |
| SUNBIRD BANDITS FUND NEW 8th HOLE TEE BOX This weekend, the SunBird Bandits fulfilled their commitment to underwrite the cost of a new tee box on the 8th hole by presenting a check to the officers of the SunBird Golf Club. The donation, which covers all of the direct costs for the construction of the newly enlarged, tiered tee box, comes from the proceeds of the 2024 and 2025 SunBird Bandits tournaments held each February. The project, spearheaded by Kelly Davis, also included many volunteer hours of laying drainage pipes; transporting, leveling and compacting fill dirt; laying sod; pouring concrete; grooming the tee box; etc. Thanks also to Jeff Seaman, Greg Wilson and Dave White who were directly involved. Instead of a ribbon cutting, both Kelly Davis, SBGC Vice President and Steve Seel, Bandits President, took inaugural tee shots after the check presentation. The 100+ members of the Bandits are pleased to continue their long history of providing substantial financial support our golf course.
