| SUNBIRD BANDITS FUND NEW 8th HOLE TEE BOX This August, the SunBird Bandits fulfilled their commitment to underwrite the cost of a new tee box on the 8th hole by presenting a check to the officers of the SunBird Golf Club. The donation, which covers all of the direct costs for the construction of the newly enlarged, tiered tee box, comes from the proceeds of the 2024 and 2025 SunBird Bandits tournaments held each February. The project, spearheaded by Kelly Davis, also included many volunteer hours of laying drainage pipes; transporting, leveling and compacting fill dirt; laying sod; pouring concrete; grooming the tee box; etc. Thanks also to Jeff Seaman, Greg Wilson and Dave White who were directly involved. Instead of a ribbon cutting, both Kelly Davis, SBGC Vice President and Steve Seel, Bandits President, took inaugural tee shots after the check presentation. The 100+ members of the Bandits are pleased to continue their long history of providing substantial financial support our golf course. ![]() SBGC President Scott Stohr (center) accepts the check from Bandits (L to R) Duane Dub, Treasurer; Steve Seel, President; Dan Carrol and Ed Leonard, past officers. ![]() ![]() Kelly Davis and Steve Seel show great form as they take inaugural tee shots from the new elevated tee box. The SunBird Golf Club is proud to officially announce the appointment of Dave White as its new General Manager.
Over the past five years, Dave has served as President of the SunBird Golf Board, generously volunteering his time and talents to elevate every facet of the club. From managing the golf shop and organizing tee times for large groups, to stocking merchandise, running tournaments, overseeing financial improvements, and laboring under the hot Arizona summer sun—Dave has been at the heart of SBGC’s growth and success.
In his new role, Dave will report directly to the Golf Board as he continues working to enhance the SunBird course experience for not only the members of the SBGC, but also for outside play and hosting Junior Golf events. His leadership, contributions, and tireless dedication have left a lasting mark.
Please join us in thanking Dave for a job well done—and in welcoming him as our General Manager with gratitude!
