SBGC Board Elects Officers; New Assignments
At a board meeting held immediately after the Annual Meeting, the following members were elected as officers for the coming year:
President: Dave White
Vice President: Scott Stohr
Secretary/Treasurer: Julie Anderson
Recording Secretary: Jean Pritchard
At this meeting, President White also announced new assignments and responsibilities for the new term:
Golf Shop and overall course operations – Dave White
Finances – Julie Anderson
Greens Committee – Kelly Davis
Membership – Jeff Seaman
SBGC/HOA Committee – Dave White, Julie Anderson, Scott Stohr

***MEMBERSHIP DUES***
Membership dues of $150 are due on January 1st and July 1st or members may pay $300 for the year. There are 3 options for paying:
1) Pay in person in the Golf Shop
2) Call the Golf Shop at 480-883-0820 and pay with credit card
3) Mail a check to: SunBird Golf Shop, 6240 S. Sunbird Blvd. Chandler, AZ 85249
SBGA BOARD NEWS
At our annual meeting held February 23rd, the Board of Directors announced that chits/credit book may now be used to pay for all or part of your membership dues. In the past, chits were only available to purchase items inside the golf shop and used to expire December 31st of each year. We’ve come a long way, as chits no longer expire and may be used for anything sold in the golf shop (clothing, balls, grips etc.), golf packages (annuals, punch cards and/or greens fees) AND NOW, your dues!
In other news, the Board announced plans to upgrade the driving range this summer by filling in the valleys and preparing the range for overseed. The range has not been seeded for the past several years, due to budget constraints and concern for water conservation. However, the dormant range has led to increased dust, which the Board recognizes may be a health issue. The decision was made to overseed the entire range in October, when the fairways, tees and greens are seeded.
| SUNBIRD GOLF BOARD VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION SOCIAL APRIL 4, 2024 The Sunbird Golf Board would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out the golf course during the past year. The date is Thursday, April 4th on the patio from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Here are some examples of things that people have helped with: planted, painted, cut down, moved rock, cleaned up, worked the auction, served or assisted at Wine & Beer tasting, worked the Chili Cook-off, and have been helping out with adopt a hole as well as a ranger/starter. The golf board will offer either a hot dog or a hamburger and some chips and dessert. Please bring your own drinks, as the golf board will not be serving drinks.
